Samsung, Google postpone product launch citing Steve Jobs'' death


In wake of Apple’s visionary and co-founder Steve Jobs’ death, Samsung Electronics and Google have decided to delay their product launch which was originally scheduled for October 11.

Sources informed that Samsung has deferred its one of the most anticipated smartphones Nexus Prime, the first smartphone powered with Google''s Android 4.0 ''Ice Cream Sandwich'' operating system. The event to unveil these products was set for October 11th, 2011. But, now the new announcement has surprised many tech enthusiasts. 

It is important to note that the Korean giant, Samsung and Apple have been engaged in a fierce market battle with both contenders aiming to outshine each other in terms of market share. The two have also filed a chain of patent allegations against each other. 

However, the Cupertino-based tech giant (Apple Inc.) has succeeded in getting ban imposed on many Samsung product, while Korean giant has recently announced that it will file separate preliminary lawsuits in Paris, France and Milano, Italy against Apple. The latest lawsuit will appeal the courts to block the sale of Apple’s recently launched iPhone 4S in the respective markets. 

According to latest information, Google and Samsung issued a joint announcement saying that they have decided to postpone the new product announcement. New date and venue will be shortly announced by companies.
