Rs 9,000/- for the Linksys E4200 is quite a price for this piece, of Dual – Band Wireless – N advanced router. This advance router is the first from Cisco that has the capability of making both the savvy users and novices happy. The easy to use application by Cisco Connect is comprehensive in terms of Web interface, stellar performance and has a great appealing design.
The router is loaded with one WAN port and four LAN ports on the back side with the usual array of LEDs in the front giving out the status of the router. All the ports have Gigabit capability meaning which they can support a throughput of 1000 Mbps. There is also a push button for WPS or the Wi-Fi Protected Setup. The router comes with the installer software that takes about five odd minutes to make the router get into working condition.
The router automatically makes the router select the 2.4 or the 5 GHz band which means that you will not be able to select the band of your choice manually. This is how a similar system from Apple works and that system is AirPort Extreme. The router logs in using the same name and password in both the bands and you can change that as an administrator.
